Mugen aero kits urethane or fiberglass?
Question of wonder. I could've sworn that Mugen kits were made from urethane. However I was qouted through $1000 just for the Mugen front aero bumper for the JDM EF8, then the guy told me it was fiberglass. Can anyone tell me if this is true about the Mugen kits?
The EF8 kit was fiberglass (front/rear/side/door caps). Only the "wing", which wasn't part of the aero kit, was a different material. That is some kind of urethane/foam.
does any one have a pic of the MUGEN kit?...isnt it similar to the WWRS kit? well i can get the fiberglass 6pc MUGEN kit imitation i guess...for $500.00..for my crx..
Don't have pics where I am, I'm sure someone does or search in this forum they've posted it before.
But to answer your 2nd question, there were technically 2 versions of the Mugen aero kit for the EF CRX. One was for the EF8/SiR and one was for the "other" models (can't remember all the codes EF3, etc.).
The Wings West kit is a copy of the Mugen one for the other models. Whereas the Mugen version for the SiR accomodates the wraparound bumper lights. The front radiator and fog lamp opening are larger, since the SiR had a big&small radiator opening.

Don't touch that fibergalss stuff. One dip taken the wrong way and its meesed up for good. Go with urethane, I got rear ended at about 30(guesstimate) and it only slighlty warped it. Not really even noticable.

Mugen kits are made out of a fiber glass similie. But Mugen kits fit exact to stock dimentions without cutting to fit or drilling holes for screws. Its basically stock fitment.
