Default Goodbye Honda-tech/ITRCA

So I was an ITR owner for the past 5 years... recently sold my R and decided it was time to move on (I contemplated buying another). I just wanted to say this site has been one of THE MOST helpful. Didnt really ever post a lot, but the ppl that I've met, thanks for the help and all the great info.! Anyways, as a final farewell I wanted to post a pic of the R and now my new car! I know I know its no type-r but for living in MI and needing a DD I'd say I did pretty damn well haha... I also still have my s2000 so its not like I'm leaving the Honda community for good, more like I'm changing my modding ways and going VIP

2000 PY ITR #420 you WILL be missed

AND THE NEW CAR!!!

plans include GFX or Wald lip kit, wald trunk spoiler, BC coilovers, Work VSXX 19x8.5 19x9.5 either gold or 2d chrome wheels, window tints, LED DRL's, HID fogs, upgrade low beam HID's, black chrome emblem kit, then who knows...

Someday, you might be a little too tempted to pickup a cheap honda again to tinker with.

Nice new car though!

lol I guess thats your opinion, but I dont have to worry about nearly as much **** as I did while I had the R, and I got mine with 19,xxx for $25,000, its not a base model either so I'd say I did damn well... If i cashed out $40,000+ for a 10' model with all the options I have then yeah I'd say I overpaid

i also have an IS250 AWD... i must say for a DD, i am quite impressed. It handles well and is nimble enough to whip around the corners.

OP you will miss it, but im sure you will love having something with a little more luxury as a DD. Does your new IS have a man pedal, or does it have a flappy paddle gear box?

<---IS300 owner BTW.

It was almost as if the car was made for me... hahaha later guys! who knows... down the road if I can find a MINT MINT ITR, I might pick her up... who knows

hmm..?? i have to disagreed...have you ever even drove a is250?? b4 i bought the itr i was looking at the is250. they aren't really that bad. i test drove one and really was going to pick it up but it was just a little out of my buget! im not saying that it is better then a ITR cause i love my ITR but when you get in a car (is250) that is less then 4 years old. its really hard not to LIKE IT!

I couldn't agree with you more on that Fullybuilt... obviously you can't compare a ITR and IS250, they are in completely different classes of vehicles lol but as far as I'm concerned, it was just the right time for me

just make sure you save up enough to get your stuff painted when you start getting your VIP lips and skirts for that lex. otherwise itll look like VIPiss. you cant get away with unpainted body parts on anything other than a honda and frankly im not a fan of that either. if you're gonna do it, do it all at once. ehh i dont know i guess im just bitter about that because i see so much rice running around with unpainted bodykits i instantly associate that.

lol I guess only time will tell however I completely understand what you are talking about heel touge... I dont think I could let it fly if I had unpainted body parts on the lexus... The R I stopped throwing money into only because it was sitting in my garage the past 2 years not really doing anything, but def. when I get whatever body pieces they will be painted before I put them on, no worries there
