Sounded like it hooked pretty well through all gears to me! looks good... i noticed you put your thumb over the E-Brake, i just tape the end part down then all i have to do is drop the e-brake... i used to forget and it would stay up

on another note man you sure do like making youtube vids! watching some of them now haha

Thanks 8.5/24.5-13 M&H with between 5.75-6psi. They look crazy flat at 5.25 and I think it slows the mph down. That's actually what the dude in the video came over to the car for, he thought the tires were flat. I started the day at 8psi and it was a fail no bite in 2nd or 3rd. In fact, the passes on 8psi the tires were so loose, I thought I took out the clutch. Was almost an effortless free rev kinda sound. But you can see in the videos where the cars loose the front ends rising so the tires are ballooning and letting loose, so the clutch is fine *whew*. I want to try the newer 9.5 wide tires in a 24.5 The extra air volume would be nice on low PSI.

I got 7 passes in, and the average of all 7 sixtys was 1.711 so it was pretty consistent for a first day out.

I should do the tape thing. I leave the thumb release on so it won't fall off the trailer. That's a good idea with the tape.

I'm kind of a hamb, I like making the videos. And the last 3-4 have gotten a LOT better. The next 3 are shot, just got to edit them. The one where we make an RC car dirt oval is coming up and is turning out pretty cool to me. looks like a TV show. Hopefully be up in a week or so. If you dig 'em SUBSCRIBE! Very Nice, looks like your heart was pounding faster than the rev limiter. Good reaction time too!

Nice I only can manage a 7.6 at 98mph with a 1.89 60' maybe I'll follow your foot steps and lower my tire pressure I have at 8psi. Nice vid btw should be a 11 second car

You saw that too? My wife noticed it as well. I don't care how calm a dude is on the outside, it's stressful in the car. This was actually the 4th pass of the day, and all the others were junk. I was under some pressure to put in a decent pass to get a feel for the car. *WHEW*.

MAN, tire pressure is everything to all of us fwd dudes on slicks. You should be playing with it (tire pressure) every pass. Leave a pen in the car in easy reach and write it on the time slip, I can never remember what it was later unless I do. And get a seriously good gauge and put your name on it, they tend to walk off.

If you've been thinking of a decent gauge get this one, and leave it in the car. I'm gonna make a quick release tab and mount it to the cage behind the drivers seat. Normally it just rides around on the floor. It's a good bang for the buck.

White car has one more race in it, before the next round of upgrades. We'll get some good video on those.

Actually lifting the throttle .78 seconds after crossing the line. Probably traveled an additional 80-100 feet past the line. You can see the finish line on the track if you look quick.

Thanks, First race of the year... I got nerves on top of nerves. You could stand around all day and the minute you're buckled in the car you have to take a leak... If you watch, Right before I plank it to leave, I'm revving, waiting and I finally glance over and look and this other guy rolls the lights, backs up, frustrates the starter dude, and finally he just let's the tree go. Was a weird deal. It felt like I sat there forever.

Thanks mang. Car did 450 at I think it was 16 pounds (stock sleeves), but James de-tuned to say 380-400whp to keep it "streetable". Which is still ridiculous on street tires around town. so it's in the lower range. But MAN, I thought it felt good outta the hole. Just the right amount of "ripping" sound coming off the tires. I think this car will do 1.5 sixtys with a 25" tire. It's got the right amount of grip, weight, power.

Here's the complete setup in a video:

Track photographer got some good shots. If you go forward and back in his thumbnails, I think he caught me at the line on 3-4 different passes.

I knew I had a fair amount of front end movement (it is a street car). But under launch conditions, the tire looks cambered out. I'm gonna have to examine that more closely. Might be an optical illusion, might not be.

Yeah I did see that, LOL. I remember years ago, driving my buddies h22 all motor eg @ California speedway, I felt as if I was hyper ventilating. It's a nervous wreck your 1st few passes. Car's making great numbers w/ that setup on pump. Wish you much success w/ that car. Any specific reason for using 1000cc injectors and a performer x vs 750cc injectors and victor x? was this at the advisory of your builder?

Mostly making the best of the stuff I had laying around from the hotrod car build. Trying to keep it on the cheap... well, so to speak.

That head was going on the EF-bomb, had the mani laying around, etc... until you finally say to yourself... "hell, I got most of an engine here". :D

Well crap. 2nd track day was an absolute disaster. I put more tune in the car and I couldn't hook it up at all. Add to it, I found my shifting problem, HUGE problem with the linkage. (found that on the trailer after I loaded up for the day).

The 1st pass was not bad, even though I blew the tires off in 2nd and rode it out, still ran a 7.55 (that's what a good pass was last time but hooked up). I'm thinking it was a solid 7.20 with bite. So the tune was good.

I missed shifts every pass with this car (linkage fiasco). My other car, the "EF-bomb", actually went a few rounds, never missed a shift, drove the ***** out of, and was darn consistent. For front wheel drive numbers, DAMN consistent.
