Can You Switch the Seats?
Hey guys, I'm going to work on my 88 Crx Dx seats. I'm planning on getting the driver sear repaired first. I'm thinking of switching the passenger seat to the driver seat. Is this an easy switch or do I have to take off the passenger railing and place it in the driver side?

I believe you can on the '88 model..
I think Tyson has done it,,
Both rails are the same length and the seat belt goes
to the floor, not the seat...Controls will be backwards etc..
Edit, found the info Tyson posted..
I have Si seats in my DX so info should be the same:

the reclining lever is obviously on the wrong side, and theres a slight interference with the seat belt lock receiver but its still possible and works.
and MAN what a difference! the padding that isnt bunched down due to being mostly unused makes such a nicer feel. out of the box, these seats REALLY ARE GREAT. truly reminded me of my old S2000. the side bolsters fit me tight. amazing.
its a temporary swap tho, i just dropped my driver seat to get patched at an upholstery shop i know. i cut off a passenger seat fabric from a junkyard seat and the foam. so i hope he can at least replace and stitch it to look nicer than anything I could possibly do.
YES! You're exactly right. I did immediately notice an odd difference and thought the seat was oddly "leaning". Now that you mention it its clearly off center and its ME that is naturally leaning my head to the center to compensate.
Not a big deal for a temporary replacement but important to make clear in case anyone thinks of a permanent switch.
Thanks.
