Default my minty fresh set up

heres some pics of the bits ive had coated recently for my ground up build
the eg hatch shell was put on a spit frame, fully bareshelled, all stonechip removed, floor pan seam welded. all interior seam sealer removed and internal seams welded, custom cage built inc rear x bars and harness bar

heres just the suspension before coilovers and camber adjusters added

opinions on what to go for would be appreciated, must suit poor, bumpy, unlevel UK roads lol

heres the job lot layed out

the quality of the finish- minty fresh

then i installed all new "hard race" bushes throughout

then i installed new arp extendeds

and had every nut, bolt and washer on the car blasted and zinc plated

finally all installled and built up

all the suspension components were blasted, then powder coated satin black

heres what i got on there

jdm dc2 front arb
jdm dc2 rack
new track rod ends
new bottom ball joints
new front wheel bearings
new arp wheel studs

for the rear ive got F7 lcas, and an ASR wit 24mm arb kit

WOW, looks good.
Kinda overkill to me, considering its just going to get dirty when you drive it.
None the less looks good.

i did considder this before doing it. i live in the uk and the roads here are real shitty and always wet. i work as a technician by trade so work on all my own cars. as with most people, my pet hate is siezed and rusted bolts and components, so this seemed the easy and sensible thing to do while it was all off and being renewed. its just the coilover choice im unsure of, needs to be suitable for the poor uk roads but still decent enough to hit the track!

Looks good! How do you get your bolts zinc plated? Is it cheaper than getting new bolts?

My bolts, nuts, washers, brackets n all the hinges on my car were done in zinc. It cost me £80 so about $120.
I'd guess it's cheaper and easier than buying new. Also they will all be identical colours
