So bout to buy another bumper and bumper spacer because mine got messed up. go to take it off. and totally rusted on the frame. I guess it just messed it up when it got hit. but i got some pics and i was wondering how hard you guys think this would be to fix. im thinking just trash this one and get another. this hatch needs more work then i think its worth. Just let me know.

So i decided to try and just do a lil repair from what i had. Sanded it down.. where talking levels of rust. Im thinking that metal was suppost to be 1/4 inch thick(thats what it looked like on other side) and it is about as thin as a sheet of paper (of good metal). So i sanded it and primed it so it at least wouldnt rust whats left i guess... Result.


Let me know what you guys think.

Also the plastic bumper piece i couldnt even get off the steel bumper because the screws where so rusted in. totaly stripped the screws.. I used super penetrate oil and a Compaq to try and get it out.. dunno what ima do about those?

makes me want to take off my bumper and see if i have the same problem.. if i could get it off, damn phillips screws.. why honda why

 

yah bro i stripped them bad. good luck for real. bumper is nothing i can come across easy. but frame work is gunna be hard as hell. not worth it maybe.
