Hey guys, I've been digging around the FAQ's and seriously there twisted. i have soaked all the information that i can can from them and just want to double check my findings. I would ask the authours/members who posted but some of them havent had any recent activity and it would be a long shot.
Currently Own 99 Sh Prelude, Replacing motor w/ 92-95 Complete Swap h22a from Hmotorsonline.com. This comes with everything that i would need besides some of the items that i would like to replace.
This is my Current thread i have looked over https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-prelude-4/01-h22a4-obd2-jdm-h22a1-obdi-2370108/
States that from my Old H22a4 OBD2 engine i need to bring over:
*The complete Intake Man
* Exhaust Man
*Distributor
* Optional but should Oil Pan and Baffle
* Intermediate shaft from the one that bolts from the block
*Thermostat
*OBD2 balancer shaft
*PWS pump/Compressor w. according mounting brackets.
* Oil pump from a 97 (Base) Lude
*Crank Sensor
*Alternator
Like i stated before i just need some confirmation on some information as im a tad confused with the post and them going back and forth. Some items are in questions due to undecided if i want to rip out the Power Steering. But isnt it to say that Repinning the Wiring harness (not myself but a pro shop) to fit the Sub harness and all connectors to match would i even need to bring most or yet at all any of the stuff over. Or is it that i have to use my Old OBD2 Harness or the "new" one that comes with the H22a 92-95 engine?
Thanks in advance

"In order to use all OBDI components with the OBDII engine harness, you would need to make a conversion harness for the crank sensor on the oil pump and the crank sensor on the distributor."
^IDK If that answers your question from what I read in the link. Also What is your question about removing P/S
*If that doesn't help can you please re-phrase your question.

As you said, "In order to use all OBDI components with the OBDII engine harness, you would need to make a conversion harness for the crank sensor on the oil pump and the crank sensor on the distributor" - The engine will come with a OBDI(1) Harness what would be the the misshap there wouldnt everything be good connection wise except for the Sub harness that would need repinning to hook up with the OBDII(2) or is that the reason i need to buy an engine harness for the ECU to make everything compatiable with eachother?
Well the Powersteering Resivor is still in the car and i still have the pump and all compents in the car or in the garage. i debating weather to take it out or not. i mean i like having it but its not a serious need. Now when i order the new engine, it'll come with a new PWS attached to the Motor. I was just wondering if i could use that one with out problems of hook up issues. or do i have to convert it back and used the original from my h22a4 engine.
