cant get hub bolt off of my axle i need to replace it what is the easiest way to get it off we have tried everything that we can think of maybe someone has an idea we can use

im assuming the car isnt jacked up causing the wheel to spin and that little tab is knocked back out so it can break loose. take a long metal pipe and put it over your ratchet to give you extra leverage.or if you have air tools,you can go that route.or take your jack and raise it up so its even with the nut, put a long extension on you ratchet,put the socket on the nut rest the extension on the jack so it will keep the soket sqare with the nut and jump on that bitch till it breaks loose!! good luck!

 

if you have a breaker bar and a long pipe (if you have some weights lying around, you should have a nice 6" steel pipe) to break that loose.

i use air tools only on axle nuts...

 

we have done that but it didnt work so i guess we are gonna have to tow it to a shop to get it impacted off then thanks though

 

yeah rule #1 w/ axle nuts. hit up the gass station on the way home and have them loosen them and hand tighten them for you

 

buy a good impact gun
