Default Good buy/worth it?

I'm wondering if purchasing a wrecked 2009 Si for 5k is a good deal. Hit was to the back. Interior, engine, front clip, doors, everything else is in mint condition. I was thinking for a while to do a k-swap into an ek hatch, and was thinking this would be a good opportunity to get a large portion of the parts i need and being able to know nothing is missing or broken.

Car runs perfect and has 22,000 miles

Thoughts?

Thanks

Not sure but I think the engine, trans, ecu, wire harness is worth the 5k if you are planning to do a swap. Also you could part out the interior and good panels to recoup some of the money.

i say no...there is always too much stuff wrong with wrecked cars. you go to replace parts and/or add aftermarket parts and things just dont fit the way you want or dont fit at all.

i say buy it and swap out the parts into your project car and part out with the rest like irondragon said, if you feel like doing it.
