Before I blew the block on my d16 it would start all the time but when I swap the Block out for a d15 (because i had it laying around) tried to get everything connected, got a new timing belt, distributor cap and distributor rotor but haven't put the rotor on yet, when I tried to start it, it would not start at all, I checked for spark and most of the time it would spark on start up then once and a while spark after that, and when I check the wires at the msd coil it reads .1 volts and when i pull the wires off the coil it will read about 12 volts, I'm running a external coil, I also swap everything out of the distributor for different ones that was on a working d15 distributor. Anyone have any Ideas?

I got some spark like it will spark sometimes, and i'm sure i got fuel. Where does the number spark wire go on the d16z6?

 

You have spark and fuel? Is it cranking?
