piston free play?

Default piston free play?

i just pulled my head out to fix my oil leak.
while i was cleaning my piston up a bit i notice my pistons have free play . it can turn left and right a little bit. is this normal?

Left and right as in timing belt to flywheel or header to intake manifold? Also, do you mean turn like rotate vertically or slide horizontally?

i think he means that like it twist lol, as in he can turn it clock wise and counter clock wise if your staring down at it while it is in the car and still on the motor mounts ??

More information, like are you spinning the piston from the top side or the rod from the bottom. Rod cap is installed and torqued? Sliding or twisting? How much play?

yeah sorry i mean it twists
but it does take quite a force to do that while i cleaned the top of pistons but it didnt move that much just slight movement
