Default Exhaust midpiping dilemma

I'm in a dilemma of getting just the piping from the header to the muffler. I want to run my own preference of muffler. I just want to purchase the midpiping.

However, will stainless midpiping be lighter than regular exhaust piping? I suppose it is important to know if the piping will be of the same thickness. I want a nice midpipe setup, but I want to be able to work with the material as well (I don't have a tig machine). I also don't want it to weigh a ton either.

By the way, my car is a DC2.

You can use a mid pipe from a pipe kit. PM me if you are interested, I have some in 2.5" and 3" mild steel that you might be able to use.
