no its not possible bro its bearly possible to get that much hp out of a d17

 

so any recommondations on getting some more power out of that engine

 

headers, exhaust, intake is chiping it is anything worth it

 

Intake, headers and exhaust is the basic u know. u cant chip the ecu unless u go kpro but u need $800-900 for kpro

 

but is it worth it will i gain much hpr

Is that sarcasm? At best, he'd be looking at a gain of 15 whp with all that money spent and an insanely good tune. That wouldn't be enough to "beat an RSX Type-S" (in the proverbial "drag race", I'm assuming).

 

^i agree. Theres no way a D17 w/ kpro, I/H/E will ever beat a DC5 type S.

 

if your gonna be trying 2 all this u need to stop rollin with the auto stage and roll over to a stick shift. Then start from there.

 

Theres no reason in this world you should want a d17 to go fast, my buddy built one from the ground up spend 14k on his built ( yes mind you it is fast but he also spent 14 grand) and the thing still till this day doesn't run right, For all the money he spend "trying to bulid a single cam" He could do the same thing to a k20/k24.

 

And kpro is roughly about 1,500 for em2.

 

I/H/E and stage 1 cam you'll get about 125 whp

Like i said the previous post he still having problems with it running, It sound like a wrx, Breaks up real bad running to much gas theres numerous things wrong with it, But since the kids a noob about honda's/building a car he won't know what to look for to start with.

 

My friend's D17 with i/h/e and a stg 1 cam... On stock ECU.

 

it says HP not WHP so to the wheeles he might have 105
