has anyone ever had their ecu flashed before. to match the honda immobilizer? i put in a vtec into my non and obviously car wont run due to the immobilizer system. so i need honda to match the new vtec ecu to my oem key. guy at honda is 50/50 about it. isnt sure till i bring my car in. comments welcome, do i need the red key? or just my oem chipped key. do i need vin number or just ecu number. etc. ty for your input

 

you have to take car in and bring all the keys you want to be flashed to your new ecu, try a diff. honda stealership if the honda guy is 50/50. I think I paid 160 for them to swap ecu and reflashed it, any additonal keys is about an extra 80-+

 

I swap a k20a3 into my eg and used an immobilizer.had it running fine for a while,till i bought a odb scanner and ever since my car has not started.does anyone know how re-start it again. I'm thinking thad the scanner reset the immobilizer but now sure. it cranks jus fine,jus like before I put on the immobilizer..anyone has any idea.any suggestion or idea is welcome.thanks
