Need help!! A/C compressor clutch questions
I'm working on a 2000 integra type R. Have a few questions. Is the AC compressor (denso) the same between years (94-01) and trim levels (LS, GSR, R)?? Are they interchangeable?
I looked through Delray acura's parts list and found that the ITR ac clutch kit is a different part number ending in P73-003 instead of other trim levels ending in P72-003. So this means the ITR has a specific a/c clutch kit??
I tried using a JDM OBD1 B16 compressor the other night and found that the compressor is exactly identical, but the pulley on the ITR is smaller in diameter and the clutch kit is just a hair different, meaning it wouldn't work.
Please don't answer unless you KNOW what you're talking about. Thanks.

it appears that all compressors are the same from 94-01, all are denso. There are different brackets tho, and different pulley/clutch combinations. It appears that the ITR pulley and clutch are specific to the ITR. Can anyone confirm that?
OK got my A/C fixed. Used OEM Acura clutch kit ending in P73-003, which means the ITR clutch and pulley is unique to the type R.
BTW I ended up using the compressor from a JDM OBD1 B16, as it is identical to the ITR compressor. Only thing different is the magnet and the clutch kit.
