i did the search and found some things it could be, but i thought it would be good for me to just make a post cause each person might have different setups/or symptoms etc...
its a 1990 crx si, 218,000 on chassis & ZC motor (w/ less miles)
one night i noticed all the lights in the gauge cluster area (behind the lense) all went dead.
the needles still work as far as on the gas, tach & speedometer and my headlights still shine, blinkers work, tailights etc....
for a couple months i have noticed that the seatbelt warning beep sound was going off at random times for no reason, cause the seatbelts were fastened, i am just mentioning that in case it is linked to something in that area or not?
first thing i did was check the light dimmer **** & thats fine and turned all the way on, then i read i need to check fuses in the underdash fusebox, also said a bulb could of gone out?? i also read how the gauge lights & seatbelt warning sound are controlled by the same fuse ??
i have also heard of a turn-signal control module or something, i'm not sure if it has anything to do with gauge lights, could that be old and needing replacement?
then it says theres relays or connections to check by gauge cluster?? (not sure of details)
any direction or tips on how i can fix this would be greatly appreciated,
thanks

I'm having the same problem in the exact car. 90 Si but with a SOHC ZC in it. I've swapped out dimmer switches and combo switches. The fuses are good but no go. The lights in the cluster look good. Previous owner said he swapped out the clusters and that didn't work either. So only thing left for me would be wire or connectors, but I do not even know where to begin.
check and make sure all plugs are in all the way for the cluster my 4door dose this some times. i gotta mess with the green paper like stuff on the back of the clutster and they come back on.
