my 16in rota's don't with with my new brakes. Help me?
I recently bought the slipstreams in 16 with falken azenis 215/45/16. The day after i ordered those I ordered the civic 4 piston caliper kit. The kit says that it fits 15in wheels. Well I received everything and mounted up the tires on the rims then i was getting my brakes installed last night then we finish and put on the tire then all it does it hit the caliper. Brian at Fastbrakes told me that 15's fit so shouldn't 16's fit. All they do is hit the caliper. What do i do? My car is on jackstands and i can't go anywhere. Help me?
me and my mechanic put spacers i'm not sure what size they were and it still hit the caliper. My mechanic said the only thing i could do is either new rims again which sux or i get my wheel lugs extended and put a bigger spacer. The more spacers i put the less i can put on the lugnuts which is not safe. So if i get a longer wheel lug and put more spacer i can still put on the lug nuts a lot. (if that makes sense)
well, for reference, a friend is running the FastBrakes wilwood kit on his hatch, and is running a 5mm space with 15" slipstreams and clears it with out any problems. perhaps the mechanic wasnt using a 5mm spacer

Thats weird. Ive seen the 4 piston kit from Fastbrakes on a car with 16's and they cleared fine, and it didnt have spacers. Im not sure about 15's but they should clear 16's without a problem.
my mechanic told me that it could have something to do with the offset since i have a 45 offset. What do you guys think. I'm thinking about going to discount and buying 5 mm wheel spacers and trying it.
does the offset have anything to do with it?
the offset is your problem
so if the offset is the problem then how do i correct it? Yes i am hitting kinda the side face of the caliper. I need the answer as soon as possible my car is on jackstands and i can't go anywhere.
but yesterday me and my mechanic tryed wheel spacer and it didn't work it still hit. I'm not sure what size they were but we put 2 washers on each lug and it still wasn't enough. Should i put more until it works? Or should i get my lugs extended and then put more spacers?
duuuuuuuuuuuude, spacers dont = washers. get a real spacer, not some backwoods excuse for one. a hubcentric spacer is what you need

Like everyone else said... quality product like H&R or similar hubcentric 5mm spacer.
The SW388s, and I assume the Slipstreams, have spokes that go way into the wheel. For an exact opposite, look at Volk TE37s. You can fit a lot of brake kits that require 16s in 15" Volks.
