Hey everyone
Recently I blew my em1 tranny. The differential broke and cracked the bell housing. So I swapped the internals into a LS tranny and threw on a GSR Diff. I sealed it with hondabond and changed all 3 seals. Well my problem is, I am leaking tranny fluid. Im having a really big headache over this. Im pretty sure I am leaking from the driverside of the tranny. Did I not install the seal correctly? Is there a correct way? When I put the seal in, I put it sitting flushing with the housing.

You can only be leaking from axle seals, fill and drain plugs, two shift ball bolts, shift rod seal, input shaft seal, between the casings, or the two plugs in the top of the trans housing. There's nothing for anyone here to say. You just have pull the trans and fix what's leaking.

BTW, did you check the clearances for the diff and mainshaft? And did you make sure no debris or shavings made their way into either shaft's oiling ports? The leak could be the least of your worries if you didn't bother with these two procedures.

 

When I put everything together, I cleaned everything. I mean everything. I cleaned it so clean that you could eat off it. From the looks of my tranny, it looks like im leaking from the driver side axle seals. Is there a certain way to put it in?

 

you forgot a bolt..... the reverse shaft bolt lol

 

could my halfshaft being slightly crooked be the cause of my tranny oil leak?

 

Yes. lol But you really have some issues if you leak out of that.
