Default Mount viper alarm without starter kill relay?

Hi. Is it necessary to install the starter kill relay when doing a viper alarm (responder 350) install? I'm doing it in a late model Honda and would rather avoid installing it.

i don't use them, i think kill switches are more effective. plus, if something goes crazy with the alarm and (for example) the alarm wont disarm or randomly the alarm thinks it is being set off you can still start your vehicle and drive it
