so i just bought a 2004 civic ex d17 and unfortunately its automatic... i would most definitely would like to do a tranny swap to manual... getting the transmission cheapest would be to search around in junk yards.. but i would need to know the tools required to do this.. any speacial tools i should be concerned about?? anyone have any idea... i have done motor swaps in my garage but never a tranny swap in a honda.. i usually do nissans and toyota... but change is always good. i heard hondas are the easiest mechanic friendly cars but a big pia that will make you throw a couple tools and curse.. but then again thats any car... in the future i would like to do a motor swap but for right now i need to focus on making the car look clean and ofcourse change it to my preference ( = manual ) .
