Default Stincles and sticker or templates

I was wondering Where is a good place to buy stincles you might use in the military to paint letters on a plane or something or any kind of template I can use to do letters designs patterns etc...etc... Or maybe some stickers or decals I could use as a mask while painting or just to stick on. I got some not so perfect spots on my car im not going to fix just wanna cover it up plus I will be buying a new hood and bumper soon and I dont want it painted to match the rest of the car im just gonna cover up with random tagging from people from my hood lol. I know I didnt spell some of these word right or use proper grammar. SO PLEASE DONT WASTE EVEYBODYS TIME POINTING IT OUT.

you could make your own. Normally if I want to make a shape, or have control over the exact size, shape and design of something, I just lay out a bunch of masking tape onto something like an old plastic table, and use an exacto knife to cut out the part I want painted, when your done with the design you just peel it off the table and put it on your car and spray away.

This was exactly what I was thinking But I wanna use the the stickers and stencils as patterns to cut from so I dont have be as perfect and it dont take as long. But there are hardly no craft stores around these parts. I think there is one michael's around its not close. So im kinda low on options

I'm prob the only one on this site with an art degree, get some poster board from Wallgreens or thin cardboard from the trash, plastic, just about anything u can cut eaisly with an Xacto knife. Or go down to the sign shop where they do vynal lettering (u get the point) ask them for some scrap pieces or have them make a stencil for ya.
You don't need to go to an art store for supplys, think out side the box and start diggin!!

You should do that as a side business. People could send you designs and you turn it into stencils

the only problem with that is that people expect you to do things for free. we're getting ordering a new Roland vinyl cutter out at SEMA this year since our old one broke, but when it was operational it was nonstop. people come in asking for stuff to be cut but they don't want to pay for it. having a cutter doesn't pay off unless you make signs or in our case, put frisket paper through it and cut out intricate paint masks for airbrushing and even large graphics.. then it doesn't pay for itself in profit necessarily, but the time is saved elsewhere and the product is of a higher quality.

for those of you who are interested in making detailed paint masks or even just quick stencils, buy a roll of this http://www.eastwood.com/sticky-micke...king-tape.html

Cool cool I understand, I just thought that shops like yours might have a chunk of vinyl laying arround from a larger project, that you would not be able to put back into the machine...asumptions asumptions, I will check out that link you posted for the auto-masking tape!

Doing stuff for free isn't really possible for any shop, but discounted work when using scrap pieces or quick work is easy to do. The thing that gets ridiculous is when people come in and ask for something to be done and they get all tweaked out when you tell them there will be a set up fee and a design fee, even if the material is free or very discounted. Even telling someone it'll only be $25 or whatever just to pay the guy to set it all up... they look at you like you just threw their puppy into traffic. No one seems to understand that everyone in the building is on the clock and expects a paycheck at the end of the week. Doing the computer work in the cutter program and setting it all up takes time. When that time spent is taken away from other paid projects, the time is more valuable. It's just annoying when people come in and want totally free stuff. lol.

Yeah I know, people can be terribly rude & disrespectful, and dont understand these simple concepts that SOMEBODY has to sit down and punch in the design so that THEY can have a sticker or template to slap on their car. A buddy of mine has the printer & setup to make these vinyl stickers, Im sure he would charge me a couple of bucks or a case of beer for makin them, shiznit an't cheap!!
