Newb here - my son has a 1987 Accord LXI that seems to have a disabled cold start system. The car runs fine as soon as it warms up. Now that it's summer, there is only a minute or so of rough operation but it was really inconvenient in the winter. Where should I begin in my troubleshooting? Thanks. - Mark

 

Has your son mentioned the check engine light (PGM-FI light) coming on while driving? Does this same light also come on as it should for about 3 seconds when turning the ignition switch to position 2?
