ok bought a new si cluster for my 91 dx it came out of a 91 si so no probs there. took out the old one and put the new si one in with the tach. worked fine then i was testing it out and i realized the tach was working but the speedometer now isnt. unplugged then replugged everything same problem. so i think i bought a busted tach and i put the old one on. speedometer wont work on that one either. maybe i tugged the speedometer cable loose some how? cant be the cluster.. what should i do to try and fix this? please helpp

 

easy bro one i did my zc swap last summer i put a 4dr cluster in cuz dx is crap my speed o didnt work either turns out it wasnt hooked up all the way on the tranny common for it to come loose if its ever been messed with id say also your cable might be broken man they also very commonly break just ended up replacing mine last month something on the to do list lol

did your original cluster work right in the first place guess i should ask that first

 

yes the original cluster worked, there was something weird about the speedo tho the pin would shake up and down in acceleration and when im slowing down.. maybe it was already getting time for a new one? hm im going to crazy rays today so maybe ill pluck one. ill check the connection by the tranny, thanks guys

 

replace it should fix ya right up
