We did indeed do that to see if it would be feasible. Thanks to Mike Whitney for the fantastic idea.

This series is for THSCC members only, and one must be an experienced autocrosser (simply because we don't have time for a bunch of folks that are new to figure out how things work). It's run with a minimum of infastructure and scoring (http://www.thscc.com/results/2002/091202.html). It was big fun. We have 3 other evenings planned, Oct, Nov, and Dec.

Whitney might have more to add...

Thanks Diane. Post up when they are and I may roll out to watch. Heck, I'm only 3-4 miles away from the place.

October 29
November 18
December 5

We start running cars at 7PM. Come out and watch. Not quite as cool as Charlotte under the lights, but a pretty good time for a weeknight in a parking lot.

I guess I should stop by since I can see the parking lot from my office window...

No, it was terrible... worst time I've ever had... Nobody else wants to go to this thing... I mean, who wants to do 7 runs? That kinda thing ruins tires... just ask the Fisher's.

It was cool. I thought I was going to be terrible - first autocross in months, driving someone else's Miata (thanks Di!) with manual steering and no ABS.

I think I'll do the whole series - it was a hoot. I'm going after street tire in Mom's MR2

Are full loud-*** race cars allowed?

Hehehehehe. I think the pumpkin might be kinda cool to autocross a time or two.

Tim Peele, Les Davis, Me, and the high-tech fancy scoring table... this made me nostalgic for the "olden" days, before we got all computerized...

r2x ~ who was THSCC registrar prior to the computerized system; when a big event was 90 cars, and a novice class of 10 cars was HUGE!
