Hello everyone. I recently picked up a civic SIr engine harness from a local junkyard.. you all might wonder how i came about this incredible find, but it was just there......

Someone bought a whole front clip and attached it to a civic SI and converted it to right hand drive. The engine harness was MINT!! picked it up for 20 bones. I read all about si harnesses and how they differ, but so far ive read every 90-91 USDM SI harness has an 8 pin connector above the driver side strut tower, the big plug near the fuel resistor box. Now my question is on my SI chassis harness its an 8 pin connector, on the SIr its a 14 pin connector like DX. This has me stumped. What are these extra wires for on the harness. I know its SIr because it has both first and secondary stock 02 sensor clips.. And i cant find anywhere a 14 pin plug at that location unless its DX. Any info on this?? As of right now i just depinned and repinned but i only have the 7 wires going to the 14 pin connector with one extra that doesnt color match. I still have 4 more to connect and a black thick wire, which i assume is a ground, and the last of the 8 wires (which is eacv (blue)). Do i just leave these alone, i know right now i have all my fuel injectors hooked up, my fuel resistor and the black/yellow wire, i have a blue left which i found out is EACV, but there isnt a blue on the SIr harness, just a blue/black. Anything useful guys, i know this harness is compatible with my SI chassis harness.

Yea that helps out. That also explains why there was a vss plug in the harness.
