88 Si doesn't have a round plug on the driver's side connection of the engine harness to the chassis harness - it has a rectangular 6-wire connector - looks like this:

yea thats the resistor box i have that im talking bout a round 14 pin plug

i have a rywire engine harness for a jdm d15b and it has the round 9 pin plug on the driver and passenger side. the chassis harness has it on the passenger side but not on the driver side. so i was thinking im missing it cuz the engine harness has it and the chassis dosnt and i un loomed the chassis harness and theres nothing cut or dosnt look like anything missing

no I just have a rywire harness for the jdm d15b and I think I have it for a dx shell and not an si that's y I have a round plug on the engine harness. I want to know if I'm supposed to have a round plug on the chassis harness for a 88 crx si and if I'm not and only supposed to have the resistor box plug how do I go on conecting the 2 together

the DX engine harness will not work with the Si chassis harness - all of the wires are in different locations - for instance, the DX harness has the igniter wire in the driver's side connector and the Si has it in the rectangular 6-wire connector on the passenger side - the DX harness doesn't even have the rectangular 6-wire connector on the passenger side - the DX has only 2 connectors at the passenger side - the Si harness has 3 connectors at the passenger side

the 88 Si has a rectangular 6-wire connector at the driver's side - it is the white connector in the picture that i posted above - the injector resistor box connector is the green connector below it in that picture - the white connector isn't plugged into the resistor box - the connector is just clipped onto the tab on the resistor box to hold it in place

the engine harness has a white rectangular 6-wire connector - the chassis harness coming out of the firewall has a matching rectangular 6-wire connector - they just plug together - the connector has a slot on the side of it that slides onto the little metal tab on the resistor box to hold it in place - this is another picture of a resistor box - you can see the little metal tab that the connector slides onto right behind the windshield washer hose, above the green plug

the 88 Si white 6-wire connector has wires for the 4 injectors, the injector resistor box and the EACV

the wire colors for the injectors are: red - brown - yellow - light blue
the wire color for the resistor box is: yellow with black stripe
the wire color for the EACV is: blue with yellow stripe

sounds like the plug you have is the right one - when you say brn/blu or red/blu, you don't mean brown with blue stripe or red with blue stripe, but instead the wire is solid brown or solid red and has little blue dots on it spaced a little ways apart - is this correct?

the injector resistor box connector comes off the engine harness, is green in color and has 5 wires - 4 red with black stripe and one yellow with black stripe - the yellow with black stripe is the other end of the yellow with black stripe on the engine side of the white 6-pin connector
