Spoon Calipers with brake pad chatter?

Anyone else experience this? When rolling at 15-20 in neutral I can hear my pads flopping around. My immediate thought was that one of the pistons may have seized leaving the pad to have too much room to move around, but wanted to check if this has happened to anyone?
Maybe it's time for a rebuild.

What pads are you using?
IIRC there was an issue a while back with a few brake pad companies like Cobalt and a few others having compatibility issues with Spoon calipers (tab design), which would result in what you're describing (you would have to specify spoon calipers when ordering). As far as I know it was remedied, but who knows, really. Do your pads have the shims installed?
If you can, pop the calipers off, grab a small block of wood and a c-clamp, pop the top of your brake fluid reservoir, and clamp the flat wood block to the inside of the caliper as to depress the piston evenly. If it doesn't move, it's most likely seized. If it does move, lube everything up nicely, bleed the system, and re-assemble.

Using Axxis Ultimates on my twinblocks. I'm just annoyed at the sound of what sounds like clunk...clunk...clunk every time I'm coasting hahha
Mine do it too with OEM pads. It's not hurting anything so it doesn't bother me.
Edit: Mine do not do it when I'm coasting. Only when I turn the wheel pulling out of a parking space, ect. They are just sitting in the calipers free floating.

Yah the rotors are for sure not warped. No vibration or shimmying when braking. I'll check to see if the stock shims are in there. Honestly it's been about 6 years since I have taken the calipers off so I don't remember what I put in there LOL

How can you get just the shims? Do you have to buy brand new oem pads to get them?
I have this annoying noise as well. I've put brake quiet on them and it only helped a bit...

They all do this unless you've found pads that fit the spoon caliper without any play. You should be using ITR brake pads and they will have play.
u can buy shim kits at parts stores like autozone just take your brake pad in and match the shims to brake pad
Sounds crazy but i recently had a similar issue, just with my OEM calipers. My front right brake was making the same noise, it turned out to be a small rock that somehow got stuck in my brake pad.
I had the same problem bruh. I tried everything I.e. replace pad and tried shims. But then a friend came by with a "good" impact. The lugnuts weret tight enough. Its worth a try if you haven't thought of it.
i have spoon Calipers and 15-20mph u can hear them moving about as well.....but just put the radio onand u cant hear a thing haha!!
your options-
sell the calipers and buy other ones.....? but if u Race it or drive it hard would be silly as those Calipers are Super...had my car on track and they out performed my mates car (braking that is) who had AP racing calipers on them!! he had Brake fade after about 10-12 laps...my brakes still felt 100% after about 20!!!
