My 88 hatch has been running for a few days now. I'll start the car up and it will run fine for about an hour, then as I'm driving it will start to sputter, and then the throttle will go quiet. (I've been able to "recover" the car a few times)
Then the car will stall, fire it back up and it will run for a few minutes and stall yet once again. This will happen 3 or 4 times then the car wont start at all. I have to leave it sit for a few hours before I can fire it up again. I think Im going to check the Main Relay, Fuel Pump, and Fuel Filter tomorrow.
Let me know if you guys have any ideas or sugestions.

I replaced the spark plug wires, main relay, and fuel filter. ( I actually grabed two main relays at the junk yard) and the car is still hard to start when its hot WTF??

Could a code #8 TDC affect starting the car when its hot??

 

change your fuel pump, mine did the same thing
