Default Throttle Body to Adapter Transition

was wondering what i should do about this edge left over on the inner side of my throttle body. since the TB's a 68mm and my adapter plate is 70mm i am a little concerned that this might hinder air flowing into the manifold. i contemplating on port matching it to the spacer but obviously im not sure if its necessary. hoping somebody with the knowledge or experience could give me some advice.

thanks for responding but would you mind elaborating? there is a reason people port match things. my main concern is air getting trapped behind the ridge where it steps down or it causing some sort of uneven flow. it would be nice if a reputable engine builder chimed in. i'll just have to keep researching in the mean time until i find a definitive answer

leave it that way.

its an anti-reversion step that will create a high pressure zone inside the intake manifold helping to fill the cylinders

i thought the anti reversion step term was only used in header technology??? i hope your right welfarepc, as i am not aware of this being the case. are you sure this wont create turbulent air flow? please share more details if you dont mind

it is also used on the other side of the motor ... it keeps air going in one direction .. I have done this on purpose with my manifold to "mismatch" the Tbody being smaller than the opening in the mani. then the ports being slightly bigger than the exit of the mani.
