should i get obd1 comp. with chip or skunk2 manifold
the skunk2 manifold wont give you the power you want unless you get teh p28 to go along with it...you will lose some low end HP with the manifold itself cause yer stock ecu still thinks you got that second butterfly...and yer vtec will switch on at 5500rpm or so instead of the 4400 which the gsr's are at....search around the forums.,.you'll find something about it...basically...you cant go manifold without the p28 or so ecu...
That last post made no sense whatsoever. Of course you can go Skunk2 manifold w/o the P28...or P72 OBDI for that matter(which is actually a better choice). That said I'd eventually try to find a compatible OBDI ECU whether P72, P30, or P28, but do the manifold first, the ECU even chipped will not make much difference to you, unless you're trying to run a test pipe.
im sorry i meant you dont want to go skun2 manifold without the perfect ecu and tuned timing/fuel maps..p72 ecu will work but like i said.you will lose lots of low end..heres the link:

The accepted philosophy is that you do the chip last. It makes allot of sense, though I hope I'm never "done" modding my car.
I have heard tell that you do lose a bit of low end power with the skunk2 IM, but I don't believe it's all that significant.
