Buying a TIG machine
**Edit!! I bought the Precision Tig 225, but found a Syncrowave 250 for what I think is an unbeatable price.! Question in post #12
Well I have found 3 used, very nicely priced machines locally and have decided to finally pull the trigger.
The question is, which one? 2 of them are Lincoln Precision TIG (a 185 and a 225) and the third is an Everlast Powertig 250ex. The prices are all within $50 of each other, and they all come with everything i'd need but the Argon bottle.
I've never used any of the two brands' TIG machines, so for now I'm inclined to head towards the higher amperage.
Any suggestions?

i have been looking into the everlast 250ex and the pt 225 aswell, i like the amount of control that the 250ex offers over most of the other brands but still havent talked that meany of ppl that have used it.
How about this for a development. I contacted the guy selling the precision tig 225 and offered to sell the whole setup for $1000 if I can come get it tomorrow.
Comes with "Precision Tig 225 , 1 year old and in good condition. Comes with tig torch, and stinger with 10' lead for arc welding. AC and DC settings ranges from 5 to 225 amps, also has pulse control for pulse Tig. comes with Argon bottle, foot pedal, extra tungsten, and filler rods for stainless, steel, and aluminum"
What do you think? am I stupid for not being there right now?
