Default running z6/y8 injectors with non obd ecu

I was told that if I take out my injector resistor box and solder the 5 wires together I can run the saturated injectors with a pm6 ecu. Can anyone verify this?

Yep, you can just solder all 5 wires together and take out the resistor box. Works fine... I'm doing it right now.

Note that you'll have to get obd1 injector clips because they won't fit an obd0 harness.

I might be doing this also (just because my injectors suck and I can get OBD1 injectors right now)

What differences would be noticed

I was told that you still need to use the resistor box if you are running OBDI or OBDII injectors. But now I'm seeing people say to eliminate it. Which of these methods is right?

I don't know if this will help but I have a ZC DOHC in my 90 CRX and I'm using OBD-1 injectors with the stock resistor box with no problems. The injectors are from a 92-95 ZC...OBD-1...

i dont recomend that..... i been there , done that....
let me give u the real scoop of this shiet...
OBDI inyectors are 10-13 ohms.... i am not really sure about OBDII
OBDO inyectors are 1.5-3.5 ohms..... they have not the same resistance...
when i swaped my Z6 i was using the OBDI inyectors with the injector resistor... worked fine and all.... after like a month of use 2 injectors fried.,., i got a hold of B16A1 injectors wich are OBDO and havent had a problem with them.... its not good to use a OBDI injector on OBDO.... u WILL fry them eventually, even if they work now.... that the truth about all this mystery

I guess this means I can't use my obd2 B16 injectors

doesnt matter if they are saturated or not... what matters is the resistance of the injectors coil.... in order to work on the OBDO they have to be 1.5-3.5 ohms.... any other non Resistor inyectors are going to be higher ohms and not going to electrically survive the low resistance.. and they fry...

low impedence injectors + resistor box + obd0 ecu = works
high impedence injectors - resistor box + obd0 ecu = works
high impedence injectors - resistor box + obd1 ecu = works
low impedence injectors + resistor box + obd1 ecu = works

The ecu doesn't matter... the drivers are expecting high impedence injectors. Honda used low impedence injectors fired through a ballast resistor because it was cheaper.

Fried injectors!!! Not good. I hope I don't mess up my engine. Can I use the ones off my HF? Are the rated at the same flow? What about the ohms on the HF ones? Same a ZC?

Just sell the resistor box....make some more....solder wires together....be happy.
