Anyone use WEB CAMS?
Sorry I don't mean to post this on the civic forum, but you guys do know your stuff about install's!! But I just recently installed some Web Cams camshafts in my 94 LS. Everything went fine except now it idles real low and it sounds like it's gonna die, I even did the part where you lube up the camshafts and idle it for above 2000 rpm to be broken in. The thing is when i come to a stop sometimes at a light it would just die on me. But most of them time it just idles really low, I even adjusted the throttle line and still no help. Anyone have any experience with this situation? Is there something I'm missing? Any help would be of great service to me. THANKS
here is my opinion on WEB: i had my head done up with both web cams and their valve trian. well the cams lasted only 2 weeks before they went flat on me, the valve train lasted for about 6 months before those too broke on me. i guess the set up i had was only ment for the tracks and not daily driven. the cams were vtec cams but reginds. the valve train busted on me spring by spring and that flattened out my gsr cams i was running. well my car ran good as hell for the first 2 weeks but then **** happens...! if you plan on getting WEB, just don't get regrinds.
im going to be a folower and say WEB CAM sucks
they really do...what you can do is adjust your valves again and try that first 6 intake,8 exhaust, then if that doesnt work try to adjust the throttle by the little allen key screw under the pully on th throttle body raise the idle that way...What i really need to know is what cam spec are they. Are they the 148e or somthing else...but if that doesnt work then the cams arent the problem its somthing else...but if it is do your self a favor take the cams out and throw them as far as you can and get Crower...62403 cam..but get some valve springs for those if you plan on going to 8000 rpm
