Only good things will come from having the car tuned.

But if it runs good and he is happy why mess with it?

With a tune you will get more power and better fuel economy. The tune may be running rich as a safety margin because it is generic. He already spent thousands on the charger, why not go 500 more and dial it in?

I'm not up on the ct kits but I thought about 300whp was max with a supercharger but more like 250-290whp

Have they ironed out the problems with the cold starting with the ct superchargers?

get it tuned. i gained nearly 10hp and tq from a tune with just bolt ons and i was already running a base map. on fi, it will only yield more power since everything is multiplied in terms of power add ons.
