Default Bushings

I have a 89 HB Si with 160K miles on it. I've been thinking about replacing all the suspension bushings. How much of a difference will polyurethane replacements make?? Is there much of a difference in the feel/response and handling of the car???

I replaced all the bushings in my 91 crx with Energy Suspension and Prothane peices. I really noticed the difference. Major PITA to install them but great end results.

I concur. I did the front end of my '89 Caprice and made a noticable difference in steering response and feel. It was a major hassle to complete the job - a press is required to remove old bushings and generally everything is stuck, rusty, and filthy.

a press is not required to remove OEM bushings if you are replacing them

it is also not difficult replacing the bearings, the hard part is getting the suspension parts off the car w/o breaking bolts

What did you use to remove your bushings? A press, large vise, and or impact hammer are good choices. By personal experience with control arms off the car takes about 3 hours

I like flame sticks to remove OEM bushes.
