Default Transforming Midori/Motor Build

Well I'm bored and wanted to make one of these so everyone can see what I've done to change this car and how I've tried to make it mine. I got this car on a trade for my old db8 and Ruckus.

Here are a picture of the old DB and Ruckus

So I just so happened to start pm'ing people and asking them if they were interested in trading their car for my db and ruckus...Had no luck and then one day got a call saying that if I still wanted to trade they would be willing to make the trade. So Thursday after work I fueled up the db for the last time and my buddy loaded up the ruckus for me and off we went.

Drove her back that night and here's how she looked the next day

Then I decided to get rid of the MR5's and put my Volks on that had been laying around forever

Then winter came and I realized that I needed to get some new parts that fit my personal taste

Spoon N1 First gen

Nardi Suede 350mm Deep Corn

Purple Beaks Bar

Comptech Ice Box

So I got all these parts in and decided since the motor was smoking pretty bad I decided to sell the swap to a friend who was looking for a motor...

So that leads me to where I am today...building a new motor to oe spec with no miles

so here is everything up until today that I've purchased and progress

Caught a break when the first machine shop had my block and flywheel for a month so I got the machine work for free!!!

Now to take the head to the second shop for a valve job, new valve seals and a hot tank

New rings

Crank in

Arp's in block waiting head

And thats as far as I've gotten so far...waiting on the head to get dont from the machine shop. Still need a few things like some sensors and what not and an exhaust stud or two but hopefully she'll be up and running soon for a drive to IA10...Thanks for looking and I'll keep this updated as much as I can!!!

Looks sweet man; and great call on swapping the rims.
Why didn't you use OS specs?

:::UPDATE:::

So I havent update this for almost a year and a half now but things have changed cosmetically quite a bit. The unpainted Volks are no longer on the car, and neither is the cheap ITR replica lip. I purchased an OEM ITR lip from Adam and some Enkei J-speeds right before the summer IA meet last year. Things are about to change again as I'm rebuilding my motor for a second time due to a spun rod bearing. I will hopefully be keeping this updated a bit more now that I'm going to be doing a few more changes to the car before it gets any warmer. Keep posted, until then here are some pictures of the car last year at IA, and Wek Fest Chicago. As well as some of the new parts going on my car. Thanks!!!
