Looks overly complicated to me... probably designed to leave your cycle unattended for extended periods, hence the lock. there really isn't any need for a locking mechanism as part of the function.

But hey, it's your money and your cycle... secure it however you like

i live in an area that is typically very safe but when we go out to some of the pits and trails, etc, it can get dicey if all the bikes are not out of the bed now that there are so many vacationers down. nobody uses anything that locks and inevitably someone ends up bitching that their stuff is gone. i know it's the campground people that do this crap.

i'm talking from an mx/quad perspective, i should have clarified.

I dont like combination locks, I prefer a good decent finnish made abloy lock to secure my stuff :D Oh and one more thing, those straps could be dealt with fast with a breadknife or another serrated knife.

that dude made another video if him trying to cut it with bolt cutters and a survival knife, it looked pretty resistant. i think it would make most heads skip over it after seeing the reinforcements.

otherwise i'd have to really cobble something together, but everything else out there in terms of tie downs is straight nylon with regular carabiners or s-hooks - not much help even with a sick quality padlock or something.

i'm still digging to see if there is anything else practical. thanks dudes.
