Whats the smallest diameter/ softest Front swaybar for 99-00 Civic SI
The stock is 26mm and I'd like to upgrade to something less stiff, to try minimize the understeer on my car.
Ive searched but could not find any that are smaller in diameter. Do these even exist?

You could switch to a ex 22mm bar, or look for aftermarket.
However, you will need to switch your front lower control arms to the ex style if you go that way.
Have you looked at just a bigger rear sway bar? Ctr is 22mm.

I already have 22mm rear
My car is a 98 dx, but I put Si front lower control arms on it with new hardrace bushings, and I don't really want to buy another set of lca's (not sure if my old dx arms have mounting holes for endlinks). A
And the problem with aftermarket sways is that most of the time they just make it even stiffer (bigger is better right?...lol), so If anyone's running something other then stock swaybar for SI that's smaller in diameter/ softer, let me know please

The original DX arms didn't have provisions for a sway bar. For a 96-00 Civic you need to use EX or HX arms and then you can have a wider variety of smaller sway bars from any Civic/Integra. Unfortunately the EM1/EK9 arms have a completely different mounting point/type so smaller bars aren't available.
I have si sway bars on my dx also lol. You could always step up to 24mm or i think asr makes 26mm also??
Removing the front sway bar would definetly do it though, however if your not careful it can get into trouble.

I am currently running no front sway on my EM1 but thats due to me switching the arms to the ex versions for my traction bar setup.I am waiting to put on the ex sway in the next week.I cant see you running into problems not running one even on the track unless you really get competitive with the car.I am making over 500 Hp and I havent had any issues not running one.
If you experience strong understeer with this setup then there is a problem with other factors that bear on under-/oversteer.
