Default Finally got my project car home.

So this is my project car i bought for a 105 bucks couple of days ago.And i finally got it home and started cleaning up a bit any ideas where i should start would be great.I plan on turboing a jdm d15b with vtec http://jdmtigerjapanese.com/details.php?id=1563 if anyone knows how much boost the engine can take or how much power the crank and rods can take please post it on here.And mods that i will need for it to run right cause i want to do it right the first time and i know what to save up for.Thanks,enjoy the pics.

[IMG][/IMG]the guy told me that the rust added an additional 78+ horse power..[IMG][/IMG]the motor that came with it d15 sohc[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]painted the valve cover looks better in person..

pulled the head off today.

Got it back safely.


cleaned up the interior a bit cause it was a mess.

yea you need to do a MPFI swap. Im in the same boat as you are. i know NOTHING about the EF chassis and im trying to get my project up and running

the mpfi swap is not really that hard, you can actually find the stuff for pretty cheap just got to look around.

well you got one one part which is the intake manfold . but you'll will need wiring ,ecu

you will need a ecu out of an si and harness and the distributer.

pretty much any 88-91 si if you dont already have an intake mani,go with the z6 manifold with a ls throttle body.

oh ok sweet,no right now im working on interior,body next,then throwing in a d15b6 no vtec in for now until i save up for a d15b with vtec so if i get that motor should i still throw on a z6 manifold and a ls throttle body?

your only 15 starting early hell ya,well im 22 but hes in no hurry and probally like 20 bucks for it did you get any extra parts with your car im looking for the tailight center garnish.

yup 15 years old with a car that i know can have alot of potential,lol no mines the guy drilled a screw through it because the rust snapped the bolts so im guessing he was to lazy to get them out and drilled a hole through the light,and i also nned a hood and sunroof glass,and about that distributor would it fit any d-series engine cause the d15b1 i have right now needs one.
