Hello, i was driving down the freeway at speeds of 65+ then i felt thrusting on the engine and the gas pedal and on the transmission kind of like it wanted to die but it couldn't so i immediately got off on the exit and it was hard to steer and my transmission would slip and get all weird, i stopped at a side street then thats when my car just shut off on its own and stalled...i waited a few seconds then tried to start it, it turned all the way all the lights came on my radio / ac works everything besides the motor. its like the motor is stuck and it cant spin or what not. no clicks either. tried jumping it and that didn't help.

its a 1993 Del sol with a d16z6, i just got an oil change like 2000 miles ago.


Heres some random facts: my coolant was a little below the minimum sign(filled it up after it died)

my starter would ALWAYS get loose after i drove it a couple days so i would have to hand tighten every so often.

I admit i did kind of beat it like rev'd it up to 5 or 6 in 1st and rest of the gears, sometimes not always.

 

Hard to say what it could be. I would do a full look over on the car, check for bad connections, check the positive to the starter, check fuses, cant really say what it is with out looking at it in person. It could be alot of differnt things that may cause it to just die like that, has anything been done half *** on the car? I.E. wiring?

 

Make sure all your worm gears are tight on your hoses, might be why it shut off, fuel in particular.
