Default EF9 question

are the ef9's that you see in the u.s. that are Lhd legitimate? or are they converted to look like a legit ef9? or did they import ef9's to the us? any information would be lovely. i really don't know a whole lot about the ef9's but they look really cool! thanks

If the V.I.N. says its an EF9 it probably is, unless the vin looks tampered with or something.

Americans just seem to throw the term EF9 around because they think it makes their car cooler.

That`s because Europe didn`t get EF9 either!!!!

They got what was called an EE9, different car, different options!

Actually i did answer your question, you obviously just didn't understand it, and that isn't my problem.

The stock EF9's don't have body kits.

i now see the danger of throwing around chassis codes so much, they are just different chassis codes for the same car, some rhd some lhd some with vtec some without, all are 88-91 civics

EE9 specs- EE9

-158hp B16A engine, long geared tranny for European roads
- power mirrors, not fold in
- glass headlights, no plastic, uses H4 bulbs-some were height adjustable
- different gauge cluster- orange needles with 9500rpm tach
- came in both lhd and rhd
- rear fog light in bumper
- Civic VT interior was full leather including door cards
- different ecu, no knock sensor
- no glass roof option
- special wheels

These are a few differences, there are more. It "IS" different than and EF9
