$400 for 1 psi is the biggest rip off i have seen in a long time.
its been said 1 psi is about 10 hp, you could do bolt ons and see almost the same for less.

Where have you been? These are nothing new. I remember the horror stories of people getting crap sucked into their engines when these things broke apart.

im not one to go slapping stuff on my car, thought everyone would find this fairly humorous. seems the general idea is that every one is just too good to laugh at it. too bad.

Why don't you buy it, then tell us how it goes?

Personally, I wouldn't spend 25 bucks on that thing.

I find it humorous.

One of my buddies had one on his 89 automatic CRX like 6 years ago. First time I met him, that thing was his "Braging rights." "Oh yeah man, I can definatley feel it when I turn it on" he says...

LMAO!!!!!

One of the first things I suggested to him was taking that thing off. He didnt, but got lucky and it didnt break on him or leave small bits to be sucked into his engine. Funny though, after he got rid of the car, he never got another one, and didnt keep the one that was on his CRX.

Ebay turbos are fine. They may not be as good as name brand ones but they are damn good for the price and they are way better than they used to be.

As long as you keep an Ebay turbo under 20 psi with an oil restrictor, those things will last forever at only $250 or less.

That's a helluva deal and if it breaks so what? $250 in a boost kit is chump change.

That's because it's OLD NEWS. It's not funny any more. Just ridiculous.

I will not argue with this, however used name brand turbos can be found cheap and rebuilt and spend no more than a new eBay turbo.

How much will a stock ECU compensate for if someone did put something like this on their car? I have no intention to, but just out of curiosity?

the site said 25 hp. so im guessing this is on a motorcycle or something. maybe 5hp? maybe... even with the displacement of 700cc v 1495cc at smallest.

The stock ECU should be able to run it. After all its not going to really give you any more power than intake headers and exhaust.

And while used name brand turbos can be found cheap and rebuilt. They are usually small turbos that come off of stock turbo cars. Any good sized name brand turbo is expensive, even used. My friend found a GT30 for like $400 used. While thats a good price, its still significantly more than an ebay turbo, especially if you have to rebuild it.
