exhaust help (ps i hate muffler shops :[ )
here's my setup: generic muffler, custom 2 1/2" piping from cat back, straight pipe welded to piping, dc ceramic header. I bought the muffler and header from a local shop, and he sent me to midas or someplace like that to get one of his boys to give me the piping/install it all.
well, i have no idea what this guy did, because apparently the piping and header are no longer connected. there's about a 1/4" gap between the two, very little air comes out of my muffler (feels about the same as if you breathe normally w/ your mouth open and put your hand in front of it), and the worst part is my car sounds like **** when i'm driving. everyone is giving me the "oh-god-not-another-import-with-a-fart-pipe" look.
the two brackets on the straight pipe and header line up ok, but there's no bolts holding them together. can someone please tell me what size bolts go there/tq specs for these? also, is there some kind of gasket i can put b/w the two for a good seal? gracias

You bought your header from VT didn't you??? I forget the guys name at Midas, but I've heard of his stuff doing that, since you live in Jacksonville, check out Smitty's on Timiquana, supposed to be the best work in town, can't beat the price either.
