SMOG help!
need some help with trying to get my car to pass smog. i have a D16Z6 swap in my '89 civic sedan. all of my wiring is up to snuff and not throwing any CEL codes. My theory is this motor (being of a new generation) will pass a SMOG if the shop is only concerned about what is comin out of the tail-pipe.
so, ran my car on the machine twice already. low RPM's its running with too much fuel causing the CO2 levels to be high and Nox levels to be low. At higher RPM's it is running with not enough fuel causing my CO2 levels to be low and raising the Nox levels.
does anyone have any insight as to what may be causing this?

co2 is not a emission it is an indicator of how efficiently you motor is running (engine efficiency and if your cat is working) if your co2 is low then there is no effeminacy going on and you may be past the 14.7 to one air fuel ration either way.
