Default Power Windows/Locks/Mirror conversion

I have a 2000 DX hatchback and want to convert to power windows/locks/mirrors.

My question is: Can I use the door harness from a jdm ek4/9 to do the conversion? I'm planning on doing the conversion w/o the floor harness.

Is it necessary to get a 99-00? Or are 96-98 compatible?

Thanks.

I think you could use the doors harness and not the floor harness because its right hand drive, as long as its the same year as your car. I got every things for my 96 hatchback from a 96-98 year Civic hx. Beside the power mirrors and switch. I got it from a junk yard by me. You could say I got it for 45 buck.

honestly for roughly around the same price you can just get the universal conversion kit it will save you more time because you have to get the regulators, switches and the wiring... it would save you more time to get the universal kit and the installation is a breeze for it also

I would buy it from a USDM, it will make things easier.

I was going to order myself a universal kit, but I though about it, its not going to last very long. Took me about 3 years to just look for it and its worth it. You should think twice about getting the universal kit or OEM kit. Do some research on it and you will get your answer.

I even got power doors lock too.

"Like everybody say OEM last longer!"

Thanks for the replies. I am leaning towards piecing together an OEM kit. Anyone know if the left/right actuators and power lock module are interchangeable for all 96-00 2dr?

I know the door harness and floor harness are 99-00 specific.

Im assuming the interior fuse box will just need fuses to be added for the additional accessories, rather than needing replacement from power models?

True that. I hate how I have to reach over to the passenger side to roll up/down the window and lock/unlock the door.

everything for 96-00 2drs to 4drs is interchangeable (cant use the two back passenger door on the 4drs. only the two front.) same year for the floor harness. correct me if I'm wrong!....Just take your time, hope you find everything you need and good luck to you.
