My 01 Accord Lx has been having transmission lately. If I slowly step on the gas and slowly accelerate it'll shift fine, but any faster and it'll take a split second for the gear to catch. The gears aren't slipping, just shifting late. Sometimes if I release the gas pedal and step on it again, it'll take a sec for it to shift or go into gear again.

I started noticing this about 15-20K ago and flushed out the trans fluid but no difference. I'm out of the extended warranty coverage too (175K).

Any suggestions on what to check? I'm mechanically capable of rebuilding it, just haven't done a trans rebuild before. What would I need?

I have exactly this same problem on my 01 accord 4cyl. Someone should please help.
