Any suggestions on a cost effective secondary o2 sensor for a 2000 GSR? I was thinking about the Bosch O2 sensor (part# 15733), however, it says its the universal type that will work for both upstream and downstream use. I thought the primary o2 and secondary o2 did different jobs, the former checking for A/F ratios, and the latter checking for efficiency. How is it that this unit could be used for both? Any help is appreciated.

 

I am currently using a primary 02 sensor as a secondary (in a pinch - don't ask) in my daily driver and it works fine.

And the way I know it is working is that I am getting a P0420 from it.
So it is certainly doing it's job.
