My exhaust has rusted out and I am looking to get another exhaust. I don't want a stock exhaust, but I am not wanting to sound like a ricer or a "lawn mower." I would like something with a low, deep tone. I am on a tight budget but I understand its best to get quality over price. I have thought about getting or had suggested to get Tenrai (Ebay), Valiant, or replica Spoon.
Any suggestions?

 

get a good set of headers and get a custom system

 

My choices are Greddy, Buddy Club and Apexi.

The Greddy mufflers, and HKS mufflers sound the best to me, but you said that you are on a budget, so you probably dont want to spend almost 300 bucks on just a muffler right. Now you can pick up a tsudo muffler for about 70 bucks and believe it or not they sound pretty good. Then go down to your local muffler shop and have them make you a 2.25 to 2.5 catback system getting rid of the resinator. For that you will spend about 220 and now thats bang for you buck.

 

skunk2's sound pretty amazing to me, so does the apexi ws2 and the greddy, but im more on the skunk2 side and their the best bang for the buck, and you dont need a "header" (its header, not headers)

 

I have a Mugen Twinloop and it sounds good it has a nice deep tone and its clean looking and amost sounds stock

 

By watching YouTube vids, its hard to decide on which exhaust to go with because a lot of them sound close to a ricer exhaust, though it could just be because of what the people used to record their exhaust. And the budget that I am trying to stay within is about $500.

 

If your budget is around 500, why not go with the apexi WS2, the matte black is pretty stealth looking not to noticeable and the sound is pretty good deep not too rice.

 

Well I am looking for more of a Cat-back exhaust. Looking at the Apexi site they do not have offered a set for the del Sol models. I think that I could possibly get the Civic hatchback models to work but looking at the pictures they just do not seem the same.

 

There not, you would have to take it to a muffler shop to mod the pipe, trust i have a coupe and i want to buy a ws2 from a hatch but i would have to mod the pipe im just waiting to find something. Skunk or HKS should have some for a del sol model.

 

I know right now I can get a Skunk2 MegaPower exhaust, but I don't think it sounds the greatest, or I can get the Buddy Club Pro Spec exhaust, which I can tell how it sounds through videos. The Tenrai sounded good through YouTube, but I am cautious because its the cheapest through ebay and I have not heard of the brand before.

Apex'i WS2 or RSR Exmag. Save up a little bit more and you'll be glad that you did.

skunk2 does have a exhaust for your del sol, and they sound awesome, besides some exhaust only sound raspy bc they may have a diff type of header or have a test pipe or even boosted, if someone is doing anyone one of those then it will make your exhaust sound diff bc of the more exhaust the motor is pushing through the pipe, and skunk2 is within your budget, tony or brian will hook you up my friend

quiet or loud? ws2 is known for being fairly quiet compared to skunk2 which is probably one of the loudest.

 

do not get the greddy evoII its loud as **** and i keep getting pulled over for that. I will agree on the apexi WSII

 

get a greddy sp2 super low noise when idling or light throttle but sounds awesome when you put pedal to the medal

 

got a 2.5 custom setup welded to a 09 si muffler and it sounds sweet! I think the rsx muffler is similar. But yea resonator delete and test pipe if you want to annoy the heck out of people.
