Default I-vtec decal removal

I searched and found some topics on this but not for an ep3.. I know I need to remove using a blow dryer and credit card than goo gone afterwards but I am having a problem.. It's as if they sprayed the clear coat after putting the decal on.. So when I peel the sticker it starts to chip away at the clear coat and looks like crap.. I have seen pics of others rides an they look clean without it so what am I doing wrong is mine normal?

Thanks in advance

mine came right off after hitting it with the blow dryer and credit card. They might have sprayed over it. I have heard a few guys having that problem as well but they had repair work done near the area and got clearcoat covering it.

Its the same on both sides so it's not from repair as far as I can tell. And I'm pretty sure this is the stock vivid blue it came with I'll post some pics later
