Default Blower Motor AGAIN After Recharge

Hi,

Installed a new blower motor last July after checking all fuses, etc, and it ran perfectly until last week. I charged the AC, as it was low, and it worked beautifully for 2 drives of 10-20 mins. Then it suddenly stopped blowing. I checked both the fuse under driver's side and relay under hood, replaced both with ones I knew to be working- still no blowing. I can hear ac kicking on, but no blower.

Could I have blown something out during the recharge? Or are blower motors sometimes cheap and konk out after about a year (It's MN, so it gets used often.)? Thoughts?

Thanks,
Daryl.

Did you perform a voltage drop across the blower motor?

Oops.

Thanks, phootbag. As I was getting ready to do just that, I realized that the hot + humid weather had caused the elec tape between the connecting wires to loosen, and the wire had slipped out of the boot. I reconnected it (paying more attention to tightening the boot properly), & re-taped, all the while hearing my father's voice echoing in my head: "Always making things harder than they need to be, huh?"

Problem solved.

Thanks again!
